How Long Does the Microblading Procedure Last?
Since this procedure is semi-permanent, you may be wondering how often you will have to return to our boutique for a touch-up. There is not one exact answer to this since it varies from person to person. However, a color refresh is recommended about 12 to 24 months after your initial microblading visit.
Your skin changes over time and your permanent make-up will change as well. The natural fading process that you will notice with your brows will take at least a year, and you can easily and quickly get touch-ups as the color fades over time.
How Long will Your Procedure Take?
An investment of only an hour or two can leave you waking up with sexy brows for the next year. Your procedure will be split into two appointments (which are spaced about four to six weeks apart to allow ample healing time). Your initial visit will last around an hour and a half but your second visit should only take around 30 to 60 minutes.
Does Microblading Hurt?
At Dr. Patty’s Dental Boutique & Spa, we will take every precaution necessary to ensure that your microblading experience is as pain-free as possible. Before we begin the procedure, a topical numbing cream will be applied to allow you to be as comfortable as possible. Some clients say there is no discomfort at all and others say it is a little uncomfortable but none have reported feeling lots of pain. Our spa specializes in making you comfortable, and we offer wine as an optional add-on, massages, and more to make your experience the best possible!
The area may be a little tender for a couple of days, but after that, all you will notice is that your brows are fabulous!
How Long Will it Take to Recover? When Will You Notice the Final Results?
You will not have to hide away from the world until you are healed from your microblading experience. Our clients walk out of the office and are ready to show off their new eyebrows to everyone and anyone. Initially, your eyebrows will be strong in color, but the color will soften to a natural and beautiful color in around two to three weeks after your procedure.
How can you Choose the Shape, Style, and Color of Your new Brows?
Together, you and your esthetician will choose a shape and style together. At the beginning of your procedure, your licensed esthetician will draw in a shape and style that we think will look just right on your face. From this point, we will work with you to perfect your brows to your preferences. We will also be sure to take measurements so that we can check for symmetry and position and make sure that it works with your face frame.
When it comes to the color of your brows, we will choose this together as well. We will apply different pigments to your skin (by your eyebrows of course), and then we will select the color that matches based on the following:
- Skin tone
- Facial features
- Personal preference
