Caring for Lumineers® — Avoiding Staining or Damage

You should avoid drinks such as coffee, tea, red wine, and even some foods like dark-colored fruits and vegetables, as they can cause staining on the surface of the Lumineer. Similarly, the acidity of foods like citrus fruits can erode the enamel on your natural teeth and cause discoloration of the Lumineer surface over time. Avoid harmful habits such as smoking or chewing tobacco, which can lead to staining on the surface of your Lumineers®.

Maintain good oral hygiene by brushing regularly with a soft-bristled brush for two full minutes, floss at least daily, and remove plaque and food particles that can get wedged between your teeth. Maintain regular dental checkups to monitor your Lumineers® for damage.

Chewing your fingernails or opening packages with your teeth can cause damage to Lumineers®, which are not as durable as some other types of veneers. Hard foods like nuts, hard candy, and ice can cause wear or cracking, and habits such as grinding your teeth can also cause damage.
