Missing teeth killing your self-esteem? We can fix that with our Dentures, Cosmetic Dentures & Same-Day Dentures.
At Dr. Patty’s Dental Boutique & Spa, we create beautifully-perfect, custom dentures for our clients. Full dentures are designed to replace a full arch of missing teeth and can be either removable or permanent devices, only to be removed by your dentist. These can be used on both-
• The upper jaw
• The lower jaw
These devices are acrylic-based and are crafted to fit over your gum tissue. This will provide you with both a functional chewing surface and radiant teeth to showcase when you smile. While dentures may not feel exactly like your natural teeth once did, they are more comfortable than ever with the latest dental technology and the help of our team. We are ready to help you find the best solution for your dental situation, regardless if you need upper or lower dentures.
Upper and Lower Complete Dentures (Without Implants)
With missing teeth, your self-esteem may not be what it once was. Dentures are available for both your upper and lower jaw.
Upper dentures are held by a suction that will be created by the acrylic base of your denture when you place it over the roof of your mouth. While you may worry that this is not enough to keep them in place, many clients comment that this is a sufficient suction and it holds the denture in place and allows them to function as they normally would.
Lower Dentures are created as a horseshoe shape to allow space for your tongue and so that it can contour to your lower jaw. These dentures don’t use suction but are just as effective as a replacement of your missing teeth. You will want to make sure that you care for your dentures which you can learn more about by clicking here.
Gels and Adhesives to Hold Your Complete Lower and Upper Dentures in Place
When you first receive your dentures, you may have a hard time keeping them in place. It is recommended to use gels and adhesives to keep them in place, especially for your lower dentures, until your learn good lip and tongue control. Adhesives are generally the best option for upper dentures while gels are great for lower dentures. You will be able to purchase these at the store or at our dental boutique. During your visit, be sure to speak to our cosmetic dentists about which product we recommend for your specific situation.
New Technology for Dentures
New technology is constantly allowing new and improved dental renovations to take place. We can now create dentures that snap or are screw-retained into dental implants within your mouth. With this procedure, you will begin by having dental implants placed into your jaw bone, and these will become a permanent fixture inside of your mouth. You can read more about our dental implants by clicking here. Once your dental implants heal, they will be able to stabilize a denture that was created to either snap or screw into place.
An abutment, or connector, will be necessary when creating your implant-retained denture. These will create an attachment between your implant denture and the implant itself. These will be customized to fit your mouth and will depend on if your denture will be a removable snap, or permanent screw-retained denture. Each option will provide peace of mind that your denture is fixed into place and will not fall out, creating an embarrassing moment. Both options will also enhance your-
• Ability to chew
• Ability to function normally
Each and every client has different circumstances and during your complimentary consult, we can help you determine which denture is best for your specific needs. Sometimes, when you think of dentures, you probably think about old-fashioned false teeth. However, all of our cosmetic dentures are a world away from your grandparent’s teeth, which you may have seen floating in a jar on the bathroom sink. They took these out because they were uncomfortable to wear 24/7. This is not the case for the dentures created today in our dental boutique and spa. Dental technology has brought us advancements that have created dentures that are-
• Comfortable enough to wear full time
Our cosmetic dentures can give your facial appearance a boost. In fact, by increasing the distance between your lower and upper jaw, the muscles in your face will be given a “lift”. This will minimize the wrinkles around your mouth.
“Shop” for Your Perfect Dentures
Computer technology that is currently available will allow you to go browse denture options, kind of like clothes shopping at the mall. You will start your shopping experience by browsing an array of pink denture bases in various shades and styles. This will allow you to choose one that will perfectly match the color of your gums. Next, you will pick out your teeth. This is where you can have fun and even change your style! If you want teeth that are little larger, longer, or whiter, now is your chance! You can pick out the shape and style of teeth that you have always dreamed of having. With amazing new technology, you have the power to create custom-designed dentures that will allow you to showcase your dream smile. If you were happy with your old smile, you can have dentures made to match that as well!
Cosmetic Dentures Provide Comfort, Stability, and an Amazing Smile
While George Washington was stuck wearing dentures that were made of wood and were far from comfortable, our cosmetic dentures will provide optimum comfort by using all of the latest manufacturing techniques available. Previously, the bases of dentures were made with a heat curing process in which your original bite mold would come out slightly distorted. Currently, injection-molded acrylic bases are used and this eliminates warping and shrinkage from occurring. The result of this new technique is dentures that are created to perfectly match your gums.
Having dentures with the best fit means that you will have the most stability. With cosmetic dentures, you can utilize implant technology which will allow you to choose between having either snap-in or screw-retained dentures. This option can be used for-
• One tooth
• Partial denture
• Full set of dentures
With this option, you will not have to worry about your dentures slipping around while you talk or eat. Our cosmetic dentures will feel comfortable, secure and you will forget that they are not your natural teeth! By letting Dr. Patty’s Dental Boutique & Spa create your cosmetic dentures, you will no longer have to fight the battle between feeling good and looking good. You will win both rounds!
This is a dental procedure that will allow you to have usable and functional dentures in one day. This procedure has been referred to as-
• Immediate dentures
• Immediate smiles
• Fixed hybrid dentures
While it seems like this procedure is too good to be true, advances in modern technology and dental techniques make it possible at our dental boutique and spa!
Candidates for Same-Day Dentures
There are two groups that seem to be the best candidates for this procedure and include:
• Clients who currently wear dentures
• Clients who are at the point of losing all of their teeth
If you don’t fall into either of these categories, it doesn’t mean that you cannot receive same-day dentures. You will want to call our office and schedule a consult to determine what the best treatment plan is for your specific situation.
Procedure for Same-Day Dentures
You will need to meet with our cosmetic dentist to create a treatment plan. This meeting will include-
• Impressions of your mouth
• Photographs of your teeth and gums
Once this has been done and your results have been analyzed, we will then schedule an appointment to move forward with the same-day dentures procedure. During your appointment, you will have implants placed in certain areas of your jawbone on either the lower or upper half of your mouth. You will have a total of four implants that will need to be placed and act as anchors for your new dentures. At this point, your new teeth can be connected to these implants. This procedure is perfect and you will most likely never need a replacement or adjustment. Dental implants can truly change your life. You will need to schedule a follow-up visit to ensure that your jawbone fuses with your new implants. Once they are fused, your implants will become a permanent dental fixture within your mouth.
Final Steps With Your New Dentures
Once your implants fuse and your mouth has been healed, you will be able to get a new set of fixed teeth that may fit your mouth more accurately. For this, you will need new impressions of your mouth and if needed, adjustments will be made. You will not need to remove your new teeth when brushing or cleaning and you will not need to mess with adhesives! This procedure is both safe and effective when performed at Dr. Patty’s Dental Boutique & Spa.
